The examiner will investigate the death of the diver in Binalong Bay on the East coast of Tasmania.
56 Year old Devonport dive with his wife when he got into trouble about an hour on Saturday afternoon.
Inspector John Ward of Tasmania police said divers were moved to a shelf of rock about 30 feet off the ground by two members of the community.
“One guy was really ex SES and he performs CPR alone until he gets help from the audience of another man, police two obviously trained to perform CPR and they swim in and help.”
“When paramedics arrived they floated him in while continuing CPR and from there the paramedics performed CPR for at least 20-30 minutes until he was declared dead” Inspector Ward says.
