Travel roundup: Chinese new year in Richmond, BC, and more

Welcoming the year of the Dragon in British Columbia most-Asian community, Richmond, who has a special event now through March 6. A suburb of Vancouver’s population is of Asian descent 65 percent.

Through January 29, the International Buddhist temple, Richmond hosted a Chinese new year bazaar featuring intricate flowers, food service and food, and merchandise giveaways fortune. Local Asian-themed shopping mall will also have a traditional flower and gift show. Parker place offers lion dancers and live performances of the other 29 January.
